Additional Value that we added this week |
Daily breakouts analyzed by industry
We added a summary of the days breakout attempts and successes analyzed by sector
and industry to the Market Analysis page. The intention is to provide an indication
of which industries are 'hot' on a day by day basis to provide an additional
factor to consider when choosing breakouts for purchase. |
This Week's Top Tip |
Tips for getting the most out of our site |
Limiting the Number of Email Alerts you Receive
The recent market activity has produced a large number of attempted breakouts,
each of which generates an email alert. For Trial, Gold and Platinum subscribers,
this can result in a large number of emails in their inbox. Reading and
analyzing these emails can be time consuming. Several subscribers this week
have asked how they can manage the number of emails they receive so we deal
with that this week.
Each of our BreakoutWatch lists allows Platinum (or Trial) subscribers
to filter the lists so only stocks that meet the filter criteria are displayed.
These filters can be set according to your own individual preferences and then
saved. Once saved, then these filters are used by our email alert system to
determine which stocks we should alert you about. You should set your filters
for each BreakoutWatch list as they operate independently from each other.
To learn how to use the filters effectively, then review our overview
of using filters for our Cup-with-handle list first. The principles are
easily extended to the double bottom and flat base lists. We also have a
tutorial that provides deeper insight into selecting filter values in our
Tutorials Forum entitled
"Using Filters".
Once you've limited the number of emails you receive, you may want to be sure
that you haven't missed anything important. You can do this by logging into
the site and checking the "Take Action - Alerts" page which lists each alert
as they become available. This page is available to Gold, Platinum and Trial
subscribers.
