 Weekly Commentary

It was a grim week with the best performing index, the S&P 500, losing 4.7%. Things are getting worse in Europe with even Germany under pressure after a bond auction failed to generate enough buyers. The downturn is therefore likely to continue and we expect the NASDAQ to test support at 2300.

To brighten the mood, I enjoyed this QOTD on the Big Picture: "I wish there was a knob on the TV to turn up the intelligence. There's a knob called 'brightness,' but it doesn't work." -Gallagher
