Weekly Commentary
NASDAQ Approaches All-time High. BOOM Delivers 18% Gain

 The NASDAQ Composite moved to within 2.3% of its all-time high as economic data lifted investors spirits. The week's rally was fueled by positive manufacturing data from the US and China, continued assertions that U.S.-China trade talks are going well, although when will they conclude? And an employment report that showed that companies are still hiring strongly.

Our cup and handle watchlist delivered some nice returns with BOOM delivering a nice bang for the buck of 19%. Boom moved quickly after the open on 4/3 and our alert was issued just under the 5% suggested limit above breakout price. However, this was the second breakout of BOOM in less than a month as the following chart shows. On 3/20 we issued an alert for Boom at an alert price of $50.04. which was well within the suggested 5% limit. A purchase at that price would have netted 18% as of Friday's close
